This A3 document scanner addresses the needs of vertical markets that require easy document capture and conversion thanks to its high-quality CCD technology and powerful imaging features by Epson Scan and Document Capture Pro. This device is specially designed to accommodate documents individually and is ideal for users with specific capture needs, such as scanning bound materials and thick or fragile documents. This scanner can be easily integrated into vertical applications thanks to TWAIN, ISIS, and WIA support, as well as Document Capture Pro connectors. High-quality scanning results are ensured by CCD technology and innovating imaging features, such as Book Spine Correction, and improved color dropout/enhancement powered by Epson Scan. In addition, Document Capture Pro makes it easy to treat scanned data before its conversion and distribution in virtually any document repository or document management system. This scanner and its features can be shared between multiple users using the optional Network Interface Panel. Combined with Document Capture Pro solutions, the Network Interface Panel allows users to benefit from Push Scan features and customize ‘scan to’ job functions such as ‘scan to email’ or ‘scan to Microsoft SharePoint®’, among others*2. These features enable complicated tasks to be carried out effortlessly. Epson ReadyScan LED technology eradicates warm-up time, guarantees an absence of mercury, and lowers power consumption. Text Enhancement
Improves text recognition when scanning text documents, whether in colour, greyscale or black-and-white. Removes background for better clarity, which is especially useful for double-sided printed documents.

Document Skew Correction
Automatically adjusts and straightens scanned images.

Colour Enhancement & Colour Dropout
Remove or enhance the visibility of ink signatures such as “Confidential” and “Urgent” stamps. Users can pick one of the preset colours (red, green, blue, pink, purple, yellow, orange, or all colours except black), or use the customised settings to drop out or enhance up to 5 colours of your choice with a single scan. Up to 10 preset colours can be saved for reuse.

PDF Features for Added Convenience
The built-in OCR enables searchable PDF files. Secure your PDF files by setting a password to prevent unauthorised viewing, editing or printing.

Optional Network Support

With the optional network interface panel, DS-50000 can be shared amongst a workgroup without the need for USB connections. Users can easily select the desired PC within the network via the Document Capture Pro application installed on the Client or server PC.
